Sorry for sending so many requests guys, if you're sick of my id requests just let me know! I found a handful of these queens tonight in my swimming pools around midnight here in WI. She kind of looks like a lasius species to me, but she's so small I don't think so. I've searched online for a while and I can't figure this one out. Hoping you guys can help.
1. Location (on a map) of collection: wisconsin
2. Date of collection: 7/27/25
3. Habitat of collection: wooded area
4. Length (from head to gaster): about 5mm. Right around 3/16 in.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: very yellow. Maybe slightly yellow orange color.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: bright colored
7. Distinguishing behavior: calm ant
8. Nest description:
9. Nuptial flight time and date: 7/27/25 11pm ish
