Hello all,

Recently got back into ant keeping. Currently, I only have one queen, so this journal is about her. Recently, a Brachymyrmex patagonicus (common name dark rover ant) nuptial flight happened, and I had caught a singular queen. I pray she's fertile, and seems to be so, given her neat batch of eggs and her not eating any of them.

I have no idea what I will name her colony if she gets workers. I'll give updates every week (hopefully).

Currently keeping: Brachymyrmex patagonicus (one queen)

Wanting: Camponotus pennsylvanicus, Atta texana

For that we're gonna need a bigger boat (my phone), which I unfortunately don't have at the moment.

She's got a good pile of brood. However, I did catch three more of her species- Should I introduce them to her, or is it too late? She already has eggs, so I fear if I do it she will get defensive and fight.

I don’t see anything with introducing more queens to the other queen. Just in case, introduce one queen to her and if all goes well, you can introduce the rest of the queens.

Currently keeping:

1x Formica subsericea, 35-40 workers +  BIG brood pile + 10 pupa.

1x Crematogaster cerasi, 1 workers + finally some bigger brood (The worker that was dying died )

1x Myrmica ruba sp around 10 workers

*New* 1x  founding Camponotus pennsylvanicus + eggs that die (probably infertile)

*New* 2x Camponotus nova, one is infertile

*As you watch your ants march, remember that every thing begins with a small step and continued by diligence and shared dreams*
