Hello!

No, I didn't make a mistake in the title, I don't want a typical formicarium, but a real terrarium, where I will put ants. More specifically, I liked Temnothorax nylanderi. I did some reading, and I have some questions.

I wanted to put Pilea Mollis, Hedera Helix, Peperomia Albovittata, Java Moss and Hydrocotyle Tripartita in the terrarium. I have the soil sorted out, coconut fiber with peat. I will put activated carbon and coarse gravel under the soil.

The whole plan is that I make a terrarium, put ants in, close it, and give them food from time to time.
Question 1 - will Temnothoraxes do well in a damp terrarium?
Question 2 - maybe other ants? What species like damp terrariums?
3rd question - aren't these plants bad for temnothoraxes or other species?
4th question - what is the situation with temperature?
Thanks for your help :)

Someone more qualified in terrarium construction will answer your other questions, but as for Temnothorax, keep in mind it is one of the smallest genera out there, so you will almost never see ants, unless your terrarium is under 5 gallons or something.
