I recently collected a Tampinoma colony (I believe it's T. Erraticum) that I accidentally dug up while working in the garden. The colony has approximately 20 queens.

I find it hard to believe that all 20 queens landed in the same tiny area after a nuptial flight, and founded a colony together.

I'm wondering if Tampinoma accepts new queens? I.E. if I were to collect another 10 queens after nuptial flights, could I just add them to this existing colony?

Will they also combine colonies, if two colonies come in contact with each other?

Any info is appreciated, I'm having a hard time finding this online. Thanks!
