I just received two Lasius colonies from Ants_Dakota! Since I love the genus Lasius and plan to keep more species than just these two in the future I decided to make a journal for all Lasius sp. instead of individual journals. I got a founding stage Lasius brevicornis colony with three queens and a Lasius neoniger colony with one queen and a nanatic. Highly recommend Ants_Dakota! 10/10 service and practices!

The Lasius neoniger colony lost the single worker they came with a little while ago. He got replaced yesterday when the first worker enclosed. They have some more workers coming in the next day or two.

The Lasius brevicornis triple queen colony still doesn't have any nanatics. They have less brood than the single Lasius neoniger queen! Still all the queens look healthy so I should be getting workers soon.

Quick update.

The Lasius brevicornis triple queen colony has lots of brood that are almost ready to become nanatics.

The Lasius neoniger colony is doing well. I moved them into a new test tube with an old Ants Canada mini outworld thing I found in my ant supply drawer. Lots of brood that should become adults any day now.
