This is my first year ever hibernating ants and was wondering are we supposed to feed them during hibernation? If you have any other tips on hibernation please let me know!

Thank your for your time!

No need for protein feedings and sugar feedings for most species.

All i've got is worthless gold.

I offer all my colonies, even the ones at low wintering temperatures (5°C), a water drinker and a small drinker with sunburst nectar. Even at these low temperatures, there are always a couple of Lasius niger (for example) who come out and drink. I do not feed protein and my harvester ants also have to live of the seed stores they have accumulated, so I will not give them additional seed (this also helps to avoid spoilage).
