Tapinoma sessile?

Best Answer AsdinAnts , May 29 2024 - 8:28 PM

yea, no.
Definitely not L. americanus, the queens are way to small, and coloration is way too off. Go to the full post

Are these ants Tapinoma sessile? I moved this griddle pan for the grill I have and I guess because I hadn't used it in a while the ants nested in these little tube-like things on the underside of it.

The colony had 8 queens, at least that I saw, so I did collect 3 of them. I think that they are T. sessile but I didn't smell anything while collecting them so I guess that means I didn't squish any, or that they aren't what I think they are haha.

I highly doubt that.
From what I can see of the queens, they’re both very skinny like T. sessile/L. humile queens.

Tapinoma aren't very good to keep I had some and they killed themselves. They are very annoying.
