They are out of season and you likely won't find any till summer. If you do find a queen/small colony I recommend against buying since they probably haven't done to well, considering they aren't in season yet.

I will likely have some by this August and many others will too. Just be patient.

2.Camponotus modoc. 5 workers
3. Camponotus hyatti. 1 worker
4.Veromessor pergandei. founding
5 Linepithema humile. 70-100 workers 5 queens
6. Pheidole Californica. 65 workers

August is too long a wait from now. How do you know they didn't do well? If they lay eggs, they're fertile right or mated? Haven't seen a worker yet. Lol. Ty. Let me know if you get some earlier and how much you sell singles for?

Culture, when a queen lays eggs, it’s not a guarantee that she is mated. An unmated queen can lay trophic eggs, in which, the eggs won’t hatch. An unfertilized queen is when a queen just can’t lay eggs at all. Also, august is just two months away from now.
edit: btw, where do you live? I’ve seen you reply to multiple shopping threads that are in different countries

California, and he’s trying to obtain Atta and Myrmecia. Lmao. And no, apparently he can’t wait either, even though they’ll fly before his current colony can get any workers.

lol, although atta aren’t necessarily easy to get, you could probs still get them for a good price. Myrmecia on the other hand is a whole nother story  :facepalm:

Many people would have them i=but they don’t because they haven’t flew in their areas or haven’t started flying at all.

Keeping:

2x - S. molesta (colonies)                1x - C. nearcticus (founding)  (y) New!

1x - C. chromaiodes (colony)           1x - C. subbarbatus (founding)  (y) New!

2x - F. pallidefulva (colonies)

2x - C. cerasi (founding) Founding almost complete with pupae present! Can't wait for the workers!

1x - B. depilis (founding but no eggs)

2x - P. imparis (colony) 2x P. imparis (founding)  Unfortunately no multi queen P. imparis colonies as all of the queens died due to fungus infection (assumed). RIP  :(

They’re not Atta, they’re Acromyrmex. And I would advise everyone to just stop replying to these posts.
