My camponotus snellingi colonies

I have one camponotus snellingi colony in my possession, but I think that I just found another colony in an old piece of wood.

Currently keeping:

2x Camponotus pennsylvanicus

1x Camponotus nearctius 

1x Lasius sp.

1x Unknown ant species (may not have a queen).
Past colonies:

Formica subsericea

Camponotus nearctius

Camponotus sp.

Lasius Claviger (only a couple days)

The new colony seems to have been a large satellite colony from the first colony.


Currently keeping:

2x Camponotus pennsylvanicus

1x Camponotus nearctius 

1x Lasius sp.

1x Unknown ant species (may not have a queen).
Past colonies:

Formica subsericea

Camponotus nearctius

Camponotus sp.

Lasius Claviger (only a couple days)

Just connected them a few hr's ago and they are all friendly. No deaths.

I have been feeding them termites and wild boiled insects(ran them under hot water). Sadly since I wasn't out for 2 days and had left the lid up, about half the colony with the brood has escaped, but the queen is still here.


Currently keeping:

2x Camponotus pennsylvanicus

1x Camponotus nearctius 

1x Lasius sp.

1x Unknown ant species (may not have a queen).
Past colonies:

Formica subsericea

Camponotus nearctius

Camponotus sp.

Lasius Claviger (only a couple days)

Well as long as she has workers (the main priority really) and some brood (if there isn’t brood, then try to brood boost them) then the workers will tend and take care of the brood, and the queen can begin laying eggs again.

Keeping:

3x - S. molesta 

1x - C. chromaiodes

2x - F. pallidefulva

2x - C. cerasi

1x - B. depilis

2x P. imparis (colonies) 3x P. imparis queens (1x queen in test tube, 3x queens in test tube, and 6x queens in another test tube. Can't wait to see the results!)
