Yeah, after 3 months with only one worker and some brood, this queen isn’t going to make it. Did you put her on a heating mat or somewhere where there is an abundant amount of heat? That could be the case for why they are not growning. I’ve put queens of C. cerasi and S. molesta near heat, sand they produced eggs the next day. Plus Pogonomyrmex favor heat much more than those two genus’s, so you might have a higher chance of getting eggs.

Keeping:

2x - S. molesta (colonies)                1x - C. nearcticus (founding)  (y) New!

1x - C. chromaiodes (colony)           1x - C. subbarbatus (founding)  (y) New!

2x - F. pallidefulva (colonies)             1x T. sessile (mega colony)

2x - C. cerasi (colonies)  workers are here!  :yahoo:

1x - B. depilis (founding but no eggs)

4x - P. imparis (colonies)  Unfortunately no multi queen P. imparis colonies as all of the queens died due to fungus infection (assumed). RIP  :(

Well you could try to boost her, but her survival chances seem slim.

True but there have to be other Pogonomyrmex colonies around. Here is something unusual, but very possible. If you can introduce a callow (a newly hatched worker) from one of your other colonies to this queen, then the worker will print upon her, and the worker help her until she dies (like introducing a parasitic Lasius queen to a host colony).

Keeping:

2x - S. molesta (colonies)                1x - C. nearcticus (founding)  (y) New!

1x - C. chromaiodes (colony)           1x - C. subbarbatus (founding)  (y) New!

That's what I was thinking.

Oh. Sorry to hear that. Well at least you have your healthy V. pergandei queen.

Sorry about that! I’d probably avoid boosting with workers, and using pupae instead.
