Hi - very new to ant keeping.  Been lurking on YouTube for a few years, but finally jumped in.

Can someone please direct me to where I can get the best information on species in my area (west Tennessee) and when their nuptial flights occur?

Welcome to FC! We have lots of information in store for you here. Some ants native to Tennessee are Camponotus spp. and Crematogaster spp.

Antmaps, antweb, antwiki, and inaturalist are all great sources of information for beginners

I made a google sheet some time ago with data on flight patterns in Virginia but it may be useful for Tennessee as well (https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing)

I find AntMaps quite inaccurate, with a relatively abundant over-reporting of ant species, in New Zealand at least.

If you find the site inaccurate, you are more than welcome to report a data issue with the site owners. Please note that most records are taken directly from studies done on the area or the species and are generally correct, with a few exceptions. In Tennessee, all of the more common species are recorded and many of the cryptic or rarer species are also recorded.

Thanks, I've done that a while ago but got no response.
