Yeah I'm realizing that #2 and #3 could probably have been only one post. I didn't know about #1 though because it was caught in July when formica usually fly and its head seems to be closer in size to its gaster than the other lasius which also made me think it was formica. I do know that #4 is different, I know I'm bad at IDing but hopefully I'm not that bad lol.

By the way, how do you do it? Some of the people on here are so good at ID-ing ant species. Are there resources that you use to practice/learn from or is it just from loads of practice? What advice could you give on how to improve at ID-ing?
