yard, bellevue, washington, USA

collection time: 7/15/2023

length: queens: 7-8 millimeters, workers: 3-6 millimeters

Color: black, shiny

Seems to be polygynous

some variation in worker size

nest was very large, and had alates

I found the nest raked apart, and I saw ants running in different directions. The colony was likely very big, and had multiple queens that were running away.
