Hello all! I have recently received a Pogonomyrmex Occidentalis queen from a seller in LA however when I opened the box I was expecting for a Occidentalis queen however she does not look like so. First of all she seems bigger and her thorax is rather muscular and her jaws are large. Here are some pictures. Let me know if you need more.

Appears to be a Pogonomyrmex badius queen. Is the seller based in Los Angeles or the state of Louisiana? Both of these radically different locations are abbreviated as "LA" and only one of them has native Pogonomyrmex badius. I suspect it to be more likely that it's a Californian selling badius that originated in Florida.
