JUNE 25
I found this queen wandering and was able to collect her. Seems to be a Formica Fusca queen. Will keep her updated with my observations.
Really pretty for an all black queen.

JUly 17th
The brood is developing and there are a few large larve, few medium, few small. And a few fresh eggs. Seems to be doing well.

Cool journal! Any updates? Also that looks more like Formica lemani, at least to me
