Hi,

Due to the fact that my entire house is air conditioned, I keep my Camponotus Castaneus colony in a closet that contains the control for my home’s speaker system because it is warm. This means that their test tube setup is about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Is this temperature good for the ants to grow faster, or is it too hot? Thanks for any advice.

Fine temperature. Watch our for condensation though depending on where you place them.

Wouldn't vibrations from the speakers scare the heck out of then?

Yes, I make sure to move them whenever the speaker is actually playing music.

Fine temperature. Watch our for condensation though depending on where you place them.


That’s what I was worried about, but it seems fine.
