I'm going to Tennessee in three weeks, which I mentioned in my pheidole journal, and I was wondering if I find queen ants in Tennessee that are also native to Maryland (or invasive like fire ants and tetramorium) if I could bring them back to Maryland without a permit. I do spend at least three months a year in Tennessee.

No, not without a permit.
"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer." Prov. 30:25
Keep ordinary ants in extraordinary ways.
