I caught a Ponera Pennsylvanicus queen while doing yard work.

I put her in a pitri dish with soil and many springtails she is still exploring the are looking for a place to settle .
This is my first Ponera I've ever kept so if anyone has any tips tell me.

She seems to have settled in. I see her walking around the petri dish often and has dug tunnels around the edges. I've haven't seen her hunt yet but she probably hunts underground. I going to leave her alone for a week or two.

That queen has disappeared I think she died but I caught a new one in the same spot. I put her in a little jar with many springtails and a small starter hole. She moved in and dug around the entire setup. How long will it take for her to get workers?

I found a second queen in the same area I added her in with the first and hopefully they start a colony together.

I was giving all of my other colonies chicken and I had a bit left over so I threw it in to see if they would eat it and one of the queens actually ate it.
