Has any US person applied for a permit in the new system?

Didn't realize permits from the old system didn't transfer to new system. Looks like you have to apply from scratch. Hoping someone has already done that and that it was a quick smooth process or did they treated as a new permit. This most likely will be the deciding factor if I continue this hobby or not.

From my understanding you have to apply again. The new system seems to be alot smoother though.
