I've been keeping Odontomachus simillimus for 1 year now but due to mites all 6 workers were killed off and only left the queen. The queen is currently housed in a soil setup as test tubes sucked, the queen is also extremely picky and will shy away/retreat back into the nest from any feeder insects I gave to it, even pre-killed ones. What should I do?

that's pretty normal behavior. I have given up on mine. Most queens forget how to survive once they have workers. I've been feeding a lone odontomachus queen too. Hoping to revive the colony. Its been almost a year and I think I've seen 1 egg and she normally eats it. Been hoping she would just die because I don't want to cull her myself.
