Howday all.
I got a THA minihearth set up and ready to go(tested for temperature control and humidity) and now await arrival of a pogonomyrmex occidentalis colony(Q+15-20 workers).

Got a ton of great info off the site here while i was doing my homework to be ready, thanks for all the info everyone's taken the time to share.
As it was on sale for the holidays I also picked up a fallen fortress for them to move into next once they outgrow the mini.

I'll fire up a journal thread a little later after i organize some photos and info about the setup and prep done to ready it for the ants.
I figure if i can manage keeping them until they are ready to move into something bigger than the fallen fortress, i'll look at taking up a 2nd colony of a different local species.
