Well, I have been testing a new 3d printer filament in 3 of my colonies for any adverse reactions. I noticed one of the colonies had 2 workers start acting strange then die off. Today I noticed a 3rd was acting similarly. After closer inspection I have identified its mites and not the filament. How do I respond to the mite issue? I am unable to get any clear images of the mites sadly.

Predatory mites have worked for me before. Hypoaspis miles will demolish other mites without harming ant brood. I ordered them from NaturesGoodGuys.

Send a picture of the setup. It might help in figuring something out before it's too late.

Well they are in one of my teesttube/outworld setups, but I just put them in here before hibernation. I think the mites were left in this outworld from a previous colony. I am confirming the mites I thought I saw last night and can return with pics if possible. I'm hoping they are aging out and my eyes played tricks on me.

I ended up pulling one worker out that was about to pass. I also swapped outworlds with a 100% cleaned one and may have mitigated them from getting into the main test tube. I think crisis missed.
