Hello from Scotland, I've been keeping ants for a while now and my wife has taken an interest too, we currently keep 5 colonies and look forward to meeting other keepers and sharing journals.

A. versicolor, C. us-ca02, C. yogi, C. Vicinus, C. laevigatus, C. clarithorax, C. maritimus, C. ocreatus, M. mexicanus, M. placodops 01, V. andrei, V. pergandei, N. cockerelli, P. barbata, P. montanus

Hoping to Catch This season:

M. romanei, M. placodops 02, P. imberbiculus, Polyergus sp., F. moki, A. megomatta, Cyphomyrmex sp.,Temnothorax sp.

Hey thanks for the welcome, we keep niger and flavus along with a P.pallidula a M.barb and the latest addition our first Camponotus species the maculatus which have been a lot of fun. And yourself?

Hey thanks for the welcome, we keep niger and flavus along with a P.pallidula a M.barb and the latest addition our first Camponotus species the maculatus which have been a lot of fun. And yourself?


That’s awesome! Maculatus are definitely an awesome species. I myself keep a good amount of ants ranging from leaf cutters to honeypots to harvesters. I keep some Veromessor which are close related to messor.
