This journal may have 1-3 month gaps due to the fact that I don't love making journals. This queen was bought from benxixi about a week ago. My very first honeypot colony (Myrmecocystus testaceus) was attacked and killed by monomorium workers, so this is why I purchased this queen. The queen had already laid eggs when I received her, and I moved her to a new test tube with sand. I have not been able to see her eggs against the sand since, so hopefully she didn't eat them. I am challenging myself to not check on the queen very often, but it certainly is a challenge. In am currently heating her at about 90 degrees at all times, so hopefully she'll give us workers in a month or two. Pics below

Cool queen il follow this journal and see where it goes. Mexicanus and Navajo are just so magestic with their yellow tint. I wish we had them in FL.

If all humans worked to together like ants the world would be likeā€¦SO MUCH BETTER

Keeper of: Camponotus Flordanius, Pogonomyrmex Occidentalis, Tetramorium Sp. E, Camponotus Vicinus, Pheidole bicaranata, Solenopsis Invicta, Pogonomyrmex Rugosus, Colobis Impressa, Lasius brevicornis, Brachymermex Patagonius, Myrmcoctysus Mendax

If I got some species names wrong, just know I can't spell some English words so what makes you think I can spell Latin words? :)

This queen unfortunately died. I'll be getting a mexicanas colony hopefully soon, so this will probably change into a journal for them

Keep this journal for any further navajo and simply create another journal for your mexicanus.
