Got a small colony of around 20 workers, decent brood pile.
This is a low elevation variety of C. Vicinus so its workers and queen are considerably smaller then the High elevation varieties.

I agree. They feed off of insects primarily around the areas I have seen colonies seems like. Will be getting some feeder crickets.

I ended up holding off on the Low Elevation species as it is not as far along and don't want to give too big of a new home. The brood pile is staying consistent and new eggs daily so they will be up in size in a few more weeks.
I did move my larger colony, High land variety into this formicarium and they love it, https://www.formicul...high-elevation/
