Soo I got this colony from Dspdrew a couple weeks ago and they are doing great. They about 7 workers and the queen is laying tons if eggs. They also got 2 cocoons today with many more on the way. These are also being kept at a constant 86-88 degrees. Hopefully this colony will live for awhile...20220918_141237.jpg

Woah, the queen has some crazy coloration! I've never seen a Myrmecocystus queen with that kind of black and yellow before.

I think that's just sugar water. The queen is probably being a replete.

This colony is doing great :) most of the larvae has turned into pupae, when they all hatch it'll double their worker population :yahoo: 20221002_100153.jpg 20221002_100301.jpg
