This girl flew into my face when I was walking out my front door about a month ago. Three days ago, she had 2 works emerge now she has 5!

I am going to move her into a founding formicarium to see, as some have said, they work better than a test tube. Interested to see how it turns out.

I would recommend making a journal on them.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8

What's the species?

The pics are too blurry to tell, but based on location and general physical features I would say C. pennsylvanicus or C. chromaiodes.
