1. Location (on a map) of collection: Trenton, New Jersey
2. Date of collection: 6/21/22
3. Habitat of collection: suburban woods
4. Length (from head to gaster): 8-10mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: dark brown to red.  Noticed reddish workers nearby which were slightly smaller.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: n/a
7. Distinguishing behavior: n/a
8. Nest description: n/a

9. Nuptial flight time and date: n/a

Looks like Formica pallidefulva or a similar species.

Formica incerta (3 dark stripes on mesosoma).
