So, I'm going on 2 3 day trips in quick succession, first thursday to saturday, coming back on sunday, and then monday to wednesday, and my question is, can I give my ants extra big food portions on thursday and sunday and then leave them for three days, or should I ask someone to feed them instead?

Um, uh, Ants!

Yes, they will be fine. The main concern is their water supply, not food.

Ah, don't worry, they're all topped up on water.
