Hi, I recently bought a new zoomed repti heat cable, but only about half of the cable is warm. Is it supposed to do that? Because Of this I haven't been able to heat my founding queens and my colonies. Is it because of insufficient electricity or something?

Yes. Only 2/3 of the cable actually generates heat. It states this on the instructions.

oh, thanks lol. ig i didn't read carefully enough

edit: it seems like a lot less then 2/3 of the cable. its more like 1/3 of the cable is actually heated, and its marked by a little black mark where it starts to heat up...

also the cable says the first 6' aren't heated and the unheated part on mine is much longer than 6'. I'm starting to think mines defective or it lacks enough electricity or somethin
