Here are some pics of my small but growing Platythyrea punctata colony. I keep them in a Petri dish with some bark and spaghnum moss. I feed them termites, 2-3rd instar meal worm larvae and fruit flies. They are a unique species and you can read more about them in the care sheet I created on this forum. They are a very fast ant and getting a good image was difficult. I think they are an elegant and lovely ant. They are a parthenogenetic species so workers are able to clone themselves, but this colony has a queen.
