First update:
I got these ants two weeks ago from THA. It was a balmy 20 degrees out so I was very nervous for them to arrive. They came safe and sound and I moved them into their mini hearth. I gave them so fresh poppy and sesame seeds along with dandelion. They had some pupae that all enclosed so now it’s just a couple larvae. I hope the queen will lay eggs soon!

My second colony took a bit to lay eggs again, but now have some larvae. I look forward to watching your colony grow! (y)

I highly recommend keeping them in a flat nest, with the heat on top of the nest. They won't gum up the glass as much.
