Hi Guys, Just some updates.

The system baffles me everytime, but here is an updated list of what I can import

Strangely, note Messor minor and Formica sanguinea?

Looks like someone found (and perhaps misIDed) a couple specimens decades ago which was grounds for a "native" approval.

Note the addition of a few Camponotus spp. as well, as well as greenhouse species of ants. I've found tropical Crematogaster in mangosteen before, so I suppose now I'm praying even harder to find some.

Pin post (approved species)

Natives:
Aphaenogaster treatae
Aphaenogaster rudis
Aphaenogaster fulva
Camponotus americanus
Camponotus castaneus
Camponotus essigi
Camponotus sayi
Camponotus subbarbatus
Camponotus laevigatus
Camponotus vicinus
Camponotus semitestaceus
Liometopum luctuosum
Manica hunteri
Manica invidia
Myrmecocystus testaceus
Nylanderia parvula
Pheidole pilifera
Pheidole californica
Proceratium silaceum
Strumigenys pulchella
Strumigenys pergandei
Temnothorax rugatulus
Temnothorax nevadensis

Exotics:
Monomorium pharaonis (Pharaoah Ant)
Nylanderia bourbonica (Robust Crazy Ant)
Nylanderia fulva (Rasberry Crazy Ant)
Nylanderia parvula
Nylanderia vividula
Pheidole anastasii (Greenhouse Big-headed Ant)
Solenopsis geminata (Red Tropical Fire Ant)
Tetramorium bicarinatum
Tetramorium simillimum (sorta like bicarinatum, but bright yellow)
Paratrechina longicornis (Black Crazy Ants)
Tapinoma melanocephalum (Ghost Ants)
Monomorium floricola (Flower Ant)
Messor minor
Formica sanguinea
Brachymyrmex obscurior (Rover Ant)

I will also add that Nylanderia vividula (I believe) was previously rejected from a permit application, but accepted when I found a paper which proved they were...present indoors in certain Canadian greenhouses?

Supposedly the process seems to favour invasive species, for one reason or another

I have a question, I know this is an old post but I wanted to ask if you could get permits for Pheidole Micula. I would be interested in buying, thanks.

Pheidole micula does not fall into any of the categories required for a permit species unfortunately.

That sucks, just read Cheeto's Pheidole journal, and was curious.
