I am just getting started with ants, and have two solenopsis molesta queens in tubes now. I have been a reasonably successful beekeeper for several years, so I figured I'd give ants a try.

Welcome to the forum! That's a pretty nice find, I lived in the Bentonville area myself for several years and never came across molesta, I wish you luck with those tiny ants.

I have tried to get a crematogaster colony started for a couple seasons now, with no luck. I caught one last year, and she did fine for a few weeks. Then she ate all the eggs and died.
This one literally fell into my lap. She landed on me. Talk about luck.

Excellent! Welcome to the forum.
Check out my Crematogaster journal for a guide to success with this species.
