OK folks... I've seen a lot of posts about people reluctant to start DIY setups for various reasons: Too ugly, too cheapo, too WHATEVER.
Don't listen to those thoughts. You've seen functional builds here and on YouTube and just about anywhere you look at ant keepers. It's affordable, you can set it up to YOUR needs, it's cool to see how the ants use the space, there are a TON of reasons to JUST DO IT. Nike that mess.
Ants don't care if it's pretty or not, they care if it's functional. And with all that we've seen in this forum alone, you can do it. This forum inspired me to make a VERY ugly, but VERY functional and interesting to watch setup that I LOVE having in my house. Seriously it's so fun to watch.
So for sure, set those thoughts aside and pick up some disposable tupperware, some alcohol and baby powder, and get cracking! Oh yeah, and tubing and poster tack. Boom. Oh and some plaster. DONE. That is for sure ALL you need. Mostly.
But just do it! Then post your setups here to inspire some of those others who are on the fence about doing THEIR own setups. You might even innovate something brand new that nobody has ever tried before. You never know.
JUST DO IT.
