Hello, I'm new!

I'm TexTech, I'm located in Brownsville, TX. I've been into ants for as long as I can remember, but I've been really getting back into it since a friend named Haden reintroduced me a few months ago. I believe he goes by VenomousBeast here?? He referred me to this forum! Me and him are good friends and go back quite a while. In fact, he helped me like ants way back when. He's currently a missionary so he isn't online anymore but he is from Virginia and he's done a lot of studies in Stigmatomma pallipes. But, yeah, Nice to meet you all and I look forward to more knowledge from you all!

I currently keep:

Camponotus texanus

Neoponera villosa

Cephalotes texanus :yahoo:

Crematogaster texanus

Termites:

Naustitermes sp.

Reticulitermes sp.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

Aye,I intend to make it better! Since I'm in Texas, I'm going to try to get all of these species, Atta texana,Atta mexicana, Honeypots, Pogonomyrmex sp., and many other species that everyone desires. I want to make journals for them so that everyone here can have a bit of the experience that I'm having too!

Not quite yet, I just got them from a nuptial flight a month ago. I've already got eggs that should be hatching here within the next 1-2 weeks
