4-13-2022 Update:
I moved the Tetras into their mini labyrinth. There was a bit of a disaster involving me loosing a lot of workers but the colony will be completely fine.

Probably, it should work fine if they can stay in a mini hearth.

Hopefully. It has more to do with how it's made being my worry. Tarheelants makes stuff for tiny/small species with tighter tolerances. I believe the mini hearths by default are all made to that standard, however it may not be the case for your mini labyrinth here. Just keep an eye out for any escapees, as others have experienced when using stuff meant for bigger ants.

ONE YEAR UPDATE:
This morning I was outside looking for queens and I found a Tetramoruim queen face up, stuck to the condensation on my hot tub. I freed her and let her crawl around on my finger and dry off in the sun. A few minutes later she was breaking off her wings, as of writing she is still trying to break off her last wing. The place that I had found this queen was the same spot that I had found my first Tetramoruim queen breaking off her wings a little over a year ago in 2021. That first queen had founded my colony of Tetramoruim who currently have hundreds of workers. It’s awesome that I found her in the same spot and I think I’ll keep this new queen for a little and then give her away. It’s been awesome keeping Tetramoruim (my dream species) and I really appreciate all the advice people have given me on this forum. Can’t wait for the two year update!

1-28-2023 Update:
It’s been a little while sense I last updated. The colony was just taken out of hibernation today. They were out in hibernation in late October and I think they have had enough time. This is now my only colony and I probably will keep it that way. They had a pretty significant die off about a month ago. I’m hoping to re-grow this colony and get them back on track this spring.

Give them lots of protein. They'll bounce back FAST.

Update 2-1-2023:
After a few day of feeding the queen has begun to lay a fresh batch of eggs. I was a little worried because I hadn’t seen the queen in months. But after searching for her for a while I found her hiding next to the water tower. I have already seen workers carrying around tiny larvae which is very exciting.
I tried to get an okay picture of the queen but it’s hard to see her.

They are starting to get very active in their outworld. I’m thinking of adding an additional outworld.

Update 3/31/2023
Great news! The colony is really starting to boom again. I added an ants Canada outworld that I’ve had sitting around for years. The great thing is that they are so bad at climbing that they can’t even crawl up the sides of the outworld. I can just leave the lid off now which has made it much more convenient to feed them. They also have been very entertaining to watch when they eat. Dozens of them come running down the tube into the outworld. In the pictures I added, you can see the huge pupae pile they have! More recently, a lot of new workers have began to enclose and the nest is starting to fill up (They have a lot more workers in the outworld). I will likely have to expand their nest later this year. I’m thinking of adding a THA Casita that I’ve had for a while and letting them live in both nests.

Update 4/14/2023
Nothing really to add. Just that they are continuing to grow in population. I’ve been seeing a lot of small larvae so I expect a lot of new workers in months coming month. Sorry, kind of a boring update but I just wanted to add some pictures. Their 2nd year is fast approaching!
