I love these little piles of curled up ants!  I have yet to see this in my own colonies, as they all form the pupae.
This is so cool!

I just bought predatory mites on Amazon to take care of springtails I should NOT have entered into my Trachy setup.   So far everyone seems fine in that setup but... I gotta eliminate those springtails.

They were fairly reasonable and you could honestly put them in each of your formicariums with no threat to your ants.   At worst the mites all die off after they have nothing to eat.  I think ANTdrew or someone recommended this to me.

It might just be harmless, in my opinion you should wait and see if it does something bad before making a big deal out of it.

Try to buy from "Nature's Good Guys" as they have a very high rating.  You could also go to their website but their shipping rates are kind of high.   I mean, they're reasonable but they're around 20 bucks for shipping.

I have at least 100 garbage eating (detritivorous) mites in my Odontomachus simillimus queens outworld.

Young ant keeper with a decent amount of knowledge on local ant species.

YouTube: https://m.youtube.co...uKsahGliSH7EqOQ (It's pretty dead. Might upload again soon, don't expect my voice to sound the same though.)

Currently kept ant species, favorites have a star in front of their names (NOT in alphabetical order, also may be outdated sometimes): Camponotus irritans inferior, Ooceraea biroi, Pheidole parva, Nylanderia sp., Paraparatrechina tapinomoides, Platythyrea sp., Anochetus sp., Colobopsis sp. (cylindrica group), Crematogaster ferrarii, Polyrhachis (Myrma) cf. pruinosa, Polyrhachis (Cyrtomyrma) laevissima, Tapinoma sp. (formerly Zatapinoma)

Death count: Probably over a hundred individual queens and colonies by now. I cannot recall whatsoever.
