I recently purchased a 2 year old colony that came in a small formicarium.
I transferred them to a bigger "THA" formicarium and now they are eating the majority of the pupae before they eclose. I havent messed with them since I received them. I even have them covered so its pitch black. I also have an outworld attached to it. I place dubia roaches, water and some hummingbird nectar. They seem to eat everything but still mess with the pupae . any suggestions on what I can do or what is going on .

I feel like I hear about Camponotus doing this all the time. It could be stress related depending on how recently you got them. I'm not really sure on what you can do about it. There could be something wrong with the humidity or temperature.

yeah, I have 3 camponotus pennsylvanicus queens that I'm trying raise. its been over 2 months now, and they are still eating eggs. but i checked on them yesterday for a few seconds after almost 2 weeks. I am feeling halfway hopeful about one of them. she was sitting on a pile of i think maybe pupae and i'm hoping that she doesn't eat them. The other 2 as far as i could tell, had no eggs or anything. makes me want to find someone locally selling small colonies.
