What's the colony size? I've found that a 20 gal. long is a very reasonable size aquarium for most larger species.

Ants are Pets, not Pests.

-Camponotus sansabeanus

-Camponotus US-CA02

-Camponotus vicinus

-Formica podzolica

-Monomorium spp.

-Solenopsis spp.

Cool, thank you. I currently have one pogonomyrmex californicus queen and hope to find more just in case.

I am wondering what the minimum fish tank size for pogonomyrmex is.

well, depends on how big they will get. about pogonomyrmex... errr... you might need a big tank, so keep that in mind. i would start with a 30 gal, as that has the height for lots of plants. just remember you will have to move them at some time...

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
