1. Location of collection: Hobart, Indiana, United states
2. Date of collection: May, 3, 2021
3. Habitat of collection: under a big hot rock sunning themselves. Rock was on a tree stump that was going to be destroyed to expand a road.
4. Length (from head to gaster): very small about the size of the nose on an American dime.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Glossy brown with hints of red
6. Distinguishing characteristics: ???
7. Distinguishing behavior: Unknown
8. Nest description: Unknown
9. Nuptial flight time and date: unknown, I requested the colony from under a rock that was on a dead tree that was going to be destroyed to expand a road.
Sorry no queen picture. She disappeared into her new formicarium as soon as I put her in and she never comes out. I know she is in there because the amount of ants has increased surprisingly quickly.
Thank you for any help you can give.
