two larvae finally pupated but one of them is like 1/4 the size of the other one

Majors maybe????!!!! when i got my first majors i was mesmerized  %)

This is a bad angle but this is what they look like, I first thought the brown pupae would be a regular worker but compared to the tiny white pupae I am not 100% sure anymore.

a good chunk of the eggs have hatched but another larva has died of overweight, and now i have found mitse in the colony

wow a month went by fast, atleast half of the larva have already pupated, though there are still a lot of tiny larvae.

For some reason the workers have decided to move the brood to the outworld and now they are bringing some down.

You could put a light over the outworld to discourage this behavior. Always works for me.

The large cocoon finally eclosed to a pretty decently sized worker plus another regular cocoon eclosed, I can't wait for all of the cocoons to eclose.
