I found a tiny black queen ant in a pool in Arcadia, CA.  I found her today June 14th.  Is it an Argentinian ant? Can anyone identify it based on the photo?6C66086C-3000-40CC-B2EA-20D8FE124950.jpeg  FBD2A27C-27A0-4EB0-8BC9-AA29385AC465.jpeg  3878F3DE-0FFD-45F7-B2A9-EEB60FB1B750.jpeg

That's Brachymyrmex Patagonicus, or the Dark Rover ant. Very small, but fast growing and fun to watch.

You won't have to wait long! From my experience, it only takes about 2-3 weeks for workers to start showing up! Good luck!

Yea same. Very tiny ants so growth will be much quicker. Also a very easy species to keep if you have many queens
