so yesterday i found 2 queens walking around and 3 today 4 are dealates and 1 is an alate several of them look very promising

noooo disaster struck i overheated most of the queens and killed them :*(  :*(  :*(  thankfully some of them survived, i nearly overheaterd my myrmica colony but they moved in the vented outworld

so yesterday i was checking up on my queens that had larvae i saw a larva in my winged queens tube spinning a cocoon! and when i checked today the pupa had been fully developed, when she first laid eggs i was disappointed because the eggs were everywhere and she had wings, so when she got larvae i thought they were alate lrvae but now she is the first queen to get a pupa! any here is a pic

last night i saw a larva that was very active and in the morning i woke up to a second pupa sadly no pics yet

long time no update well my fav queen died I tried donating all of her brood to my other queen with 2 larvae but she ate the new brood and on of her larvae she is still chilling in her test tube RIP WINGED QUEEN 2021-2021

2 queens left one is infertile, the other has 4 large larvae as she lost all her larvae before she went in the fridge last year she laid like 6 eggs this year and she has only lost 2 this time! I might make a poll on what to name her.

Well good news is she has a pupa(finally) bad news is that two larvae were lost in the process(eaten) I am a little worried about the size of the pupa but I still am hoping it's not just a male.

The pupa has since enclosed into a beautiful worker and today the queen laid an egg and the worker placed it on the top of the queens thorax lol.

How'd that get up there? Did the queen just lay an egg on herself or did a worker think that would be a nice place to display the egg.
