How'd that get up there? Did the queen just lay an egg on herself or did a worker think that would be a nice place to display the egg.

She likely accidentally touched and egg pile with her thorax and it got stuck there. It happens a lot with larger, clumsier queens.

Here is a picture of the egg on the top of the queens thorax

Mine had one on her head.

actually the worker removed it overnight and when I woke up it wasn't on her thorax but when I got home from school it was back on her thorax lol

Great news she has 3 pupae, one large larva, and one small larva. She is doing great!!!
