Had my children o er visiting their Nana today and noticed her Camponotus pouring out of their nest. Unfortunately for my mother the nest was in her house sidewall beneath her vinyl siding. The nest extended from floor to ceiling as they poured out in several places. A nice mature colony too with many many big majors. Lots of males. Came home across town and they were raining from the sky. My two daughters and I went out after dinner and collected 4. 2 with wings and two without. Some pics:
