The 17-year periodical cicadas of Brood X are back in many areas of the east this summer. They've been slowly building up over the past few weeks, but yesterday their numbers really exploded. I wasn't much older than many of you youngsters on this forum the last time I saw this amazing phenomenon. What's really cool is that my son is getting really excited about them. He'll be 22 when they return.
