I have lately bought this new Camponotus US-CA02 queen with pupae. Once I got her, I put her in a nurbs pencil case formicarium, but I didn't pull out the cotton. I did this because the queen didn't have any workers yet and I needed her test-tube to be still when I checked up on her. Hopefully this works for now. Anyway, here are some photos.

Amazing species. Always wanted these girls. Those cocoons look pretty dark, should have workers soon!  :D

That really sucks man. Sadly, it's just part of antkeeping. Queens die from unknown causes... That's that.  :(
