I’ve been going through this place for about a year now as a guest, so I finally decided to make an account, I’ve been ant keeping for around 2-3 years now, and I used to have quite a few large colonies, however I moved recently and so I had to release them, however currently I’ve got a Camponotus Pennsylvanicus colony with around 21 workers and a brand new Ponera Pennsylvanicus Queen I caught very recently. I’m in the Midwest so there are a few cool ant species I’m hoping to keep like tetramorium tushimae, camponotus novaeborecensis, and a few others. I’ve seen quite a lot of t. tushimae colonies in my area so I can’t wait till they start flying. So many so that I barely can find any T. Immigrans. One of the large colonies I had before moving was a T. Immigrans colony with well over 1,000 workers, as well as a multi-queen prenolepis imparis colony. If you fellow ant keepers want to see a ant keeping journal on my Ponera Pennsylvanicus Queen let me know, it’s my first semi-claustral queen and I can’t wait for the challenge.

Well, see y’a on another thread ant keepers.
