My queens are doing excellent! All have big clumps of eggs, although one died with no eggs. I think it was the first one I caught this year which is kind of sad, but at least all my others are doing great with founding a colony.

Queen 1 is doing good with a decent pile of eggs. Queen 2 is lagging behind with only a small clump of eggs, and queen 3 has the most eggs out of any of my queens, even my group of queens. Queen 3 has about 20 eggs, and the group has around 14.

Queen 3 has literally like 20 eggs and 5 very small larvae now. She is just pumping out eggs. Definitely fertile.


Might of been one that I saw the male on. All the rest of the queens are doing great also.

I'll take pics after they settle down a little bit. They got disturbed a lot yesterday because we were cleaning the house. None ate any eggs. I'll take pics soon.

They are kind of blury but tons of eggs are still visible.

And one of my queens, the one with a lot of eggs actually has mostly small larvae now.

I'm so excited!! My Prenoelpis queen has at least 12 Pupae! I was expecting this soon. My one solo queen is doing the best out of any of my queens.

Also, one more question: My quadro of queens has a ton of eggs and I think one pupae, but their water is almost out. How should I move them into a new test tube and move all their brood too without it being that stressful?

Prepare a new test tube, and tape it to the current test tube. They should move over on their own, however if they don't...  Cover the new one, and aim a light at the old test tube. (Not too bright!) They should move over.

 give the pupae 2-3 weeks then they should be workers. my queen has some larvae thank god it took her 3 months
